Let's TACO 'BOUT IT
I taught high school journalism and advised large, student-led publishing projects for five years.
Am I an unsung hero? Maybe. Probably not. But if I can wrangle teenagers to produce and publish award winning magazines, yearbooks and websites, I know I can lead or be part of really any team.
It's not without its ups and downs, and I certainly don't do it perfectly, but I am an Attention-to-Detail Queen, an intensive editor and efficient perfectionist, and I expect high standards from myself and my staff - and we typically deliver.
I'm always willing to do my best...and to get a little bit silly when the occasion calls for it. Scroll and click around to check out some of the larger projects I've lead or been a part of in scholastic journalism.

NOT YET WRITTEn
2022-2023 YEARBOOK
In an advising role, I taught and edited with a staff of 13 students to produce this 232-page historical annual.
It received an All-American rating with five Marks of Distinction in Essentials, Coverage, Writing & Editing, Design and Photography from the National Student Press Association. This is the highest critique rating one can receive.

LE JOURNAL
STUDENT NEWS MAGAZINE
In an advising role, I lead a small staff of students to produce five or six professionally printed news magazine issues for the school and local community covering a range of timely and relevant topics.
To produce the magazines, students worked in a real-world newsroom structure and utilized journalistic writing, interviewing, layout, design, editing, photography, professional responsibility and communication to achieve deadlines and evolve the program.
