PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

Over the past seven years, I've told stories and built content across education, nonprofit media, and higher ed communications. I've produced video content for a national sorority's digital platforms, created multimedia features highlighting university research, and built a nationally recognized high school journalism program from the ground up. Whether I'm writing, filming, editing, designing, or leading a team, the through-line is the same: I find the story that connects with people, and I bring the skills to make it happen. I thrive in roles that ask me to wear multiple hats, manage complex projects, and collaborate across teams—and I'm looking for my next opportunity to do work that matters.

FREELANCE

I've maintained a freelance practice throughout my career, taking on projects that let me flex different creative muscles—professional headshots, wedding coverage, event documentation, brand campaigns, custom graphics. Freelancing has taught me how to manage client relationships, work independently under pressure, and deliver polished work across whatever format the project demands. It's also given me the freedom to experiment with new tools and techniques, which keeps my skills sharp and my work fresh.

2020 - 2025

JOURNALISM Teacher
and PROGRAM advisor

NOTRE DAME DE SION HIGH SCHOOL

As the journalism instructor and publications advisor at Notre Dame de Sion, I led a multi-platform, award-winning student media program as a one-person department. I taught students ages 14–18, adapting instruction across experience levels to develop foundational and advanced skills in journalism, design, and digital storytelling. I managed and mentored small editorial teams to write, edit, design, and publish a print newsmagazine, online news site, and a 232-page yearbook, while also building a pipeline of student talent through project-based coursework for underclassmen.

VIDEOGRAPHER

ZETA TAU ALPHA INTERNATIONAL OFFICE

At ZTA's international headquarters, I launched and managed the organization's official YouTube channel, producing weekly video content that connected with audiences from college students to multi-generational alumnae. I traveled across the country with more equipment than seemed reasonable to film and interview members, developed original scripts and story concepts, and collaborated with a tight-knit five-person communications team. The role pushed me to get certified in Adobe After Effects, dive into motion graphics and animation, and learn what it really means to work within a highly branded, mission-driven organization. It was a crash course in doing excellent work at pace.

GRADUATE PROGRAM
PROFESSIONAL asSistant

Saint Louis University college of arts & sciences

While earning my master's degree, I worked as a graduate assistant producing multimedia content for more than 30 academic departments—a role that made me a jack-of-all-trades very quickly. I developed web features and video profiles that translated dense academic research into stories that actually made sense to real people. I also took on the college's neglected Instagram account (which had about 50 followers and even less engagement) and grew it to over 400 followers with significantly higher interaction. I built a content calendar and social media strategy that outlasted my time there, which felt like a win.

SUMMER OF 2015 & 2016

CAMP COUNSELOR AND

MEDIA INTERN

YMCA CAMP FOSTER, Lake okoboji, iowa

I spent two summers as a camp counselor and multimedia intern at YMCA Camp Foster—a role that required equal parts lifeguarding, conflict resolution, creative problem-solving, and making kids believe that eating vegetables at dinner was actually a good idea. Beyond the daily chaos of camp life, I documented everything through photography and video, producing weekly recap videos and recruitment materials that captured what made the place special. It was an intensive crash course in leadership, adaptability, and working with unpredictable conditions (weather, homesickness, boats that may or may not start). The skills I developed there—building trust quickly, staying calm under pressure, making things work with limited resources—have shown up in every job since.
